CAPITOL FACILITIES MANAGEMENT

A Memorial Tree is a great way for businesses, the public, or agencies to commemorate a loved one, employee, or a special event.

By purchasing this living tribute, your gift will be used to plant a tree on the Capitol Complex. Trees will be cared for by our Grounds team.

HOW IT WORKS

• Choose a desired tree species from list provided.
• Choose wording for the accompanying plaque.
  • Plaque size is 3"x 5", mounted on concrete.
• Trees can be purchased any time; however, planting will only take place in the spring.
• Deciduous trees are approximately 2”-3" in diameter. Conifers are 6’ tall.
• $650 per tree includes: tree, plaque, installation, and continued care by the landscaping team. Larger trees may be purchased for an additional cost.
• Trees must be paid for in full prior to GSD ordering or planting the tree.

PROCEDURE & POLICIES

Once planted, a picture of the tree along with a map of its location will be mailed to you or the person of your choosing.

• Decorations are not allowed on any living tribute trees.
• Cremains are not allowed to be placed as part of a memorial tree.
